This year the Cannes Film Festival was filled with a Lars Von Tier scandal, a dynamic jury with Robert de Niro as the sitting president (pictured left), and importantly some extraordinary films launched--delivering to independent film-goers loads of screen-candy to drool over for the remaining part of 2011.
