JEFF KOONS' CURATION AT THE NEW MUSEUM: SKIN FRUIT

If you missed Jeff Koons' curation: Skin Fruit at the New Museum in New York this spring, have a watch at his interview via Nowness (below).  This was the first time the controversial American artist has curated a show.  The exhibition was only up for a few months; and most of the featured works were of Athens based artist: Dakis Joannou.  Joannou, a big admirer of Koons admits that this has influenced his artistic sensibility and perhaps can be highly detected in his work .  According to the museum, the curator's selected title, Skin Fruit signifies: genesis, original skin, sexuality, and evolution--with contrasts meant to provoke the tensions between interior and exterior, as well as what we see versus what we consume.  Have a scroll down to have glimpse of the short-lived exposition to see what emotions are elicited in you.
