MOMA APPLIES NEW MEDIA ON THE IPAD TO EXHIBIT ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONIST SHOW



This week the MoMA launched its AB EX NY iPad App--as in Abstract Expressionist New York exhibition--currently showing at the modern museum.  The highlights of the AB EX Show are all featured in large scale high resolution images.



Aside from the high quality images, the MoMA iPad app also keeps in line with the modern method--it takes advantage of the new innovative ways that the Apple tablet has to offer:  It includes a multimedia map showcasing artists, galleries, studios, bars, among other related spots. 



You may also watch exhaustive videos (as seen above) spotlighting crucial art pieces in the exhibition.  And what app wouldn't be complete without sharing features on social networks such as Twitter and others.  The application allows you to share your expressionistic discoveries with your network if you're so inclined. 


In addition, There are educational features about the abstract works and the movement.  After all, the application is categorized at the App Store under Educational.  Press releases about the exhibition are also available for reads, as well as a glossary called: Art terms--to help you get acquainted with some AB EX terminologies.
