You know summer has arrived in New York when: you take a stroll in the park and suddenly you're flashed by practically naked people sunbathing inappropriately, when the seating arrangements in most restaurants have emerged onto the sidewalk even when there's not even enough space for actual pedestrians, and of course when the Rooftop Films production has set up outdoor movie watching for all to enjoy around the city.
This year Rooftop Films Summer 2010 has decided to go for more shorts than classics. The production in collaboration with IFC and New York Magazine among a few others, is launching a robust selection of short films from up-and-coming film makers who are about to make their big bang in the movie industry.
