IS THERE ROOM FOR EGO IN GRAPHIC DESIGN?
Marian Bantjes considers herself a departed graphic designer who graduated into becoming a graphic artist. A former partner and senior designer at Digitopolis based in Canada, she left the company in 2003, and has since blossomed into the graphic artist she always wanted to be. She's earned her recent acclaim for using unsuspecting techniques and materials to style her art into the digital display that is Marian Bantjes. Have a watch at are her speech on TED (below), and you might find yourself inspired by watching the beauty of seeing someone take absolute pleasure in honoring what they have the courage to do--despite preexisting restrictions within industries.
Bantjes' list of clients include the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue, The New York Times, Print Magazine, Wired Mag, Wall Paper and Stefan Sagmeister among others.
