SIMON SINEK: IT'S "I HAD A DREAM," NOT I HAD A PLAN, THE LAW OF APPLE

By DAWN ELARDO
Simon Sinek convinces us that "People don't buy what you do, they buy WHY you do it."  Sinek uses Apple as his prominent component to explain how innovators can influence the mass by driving the market with inspiration rather than declaration.  He elaborates on why there's a fervent following for this love it or hate it — but definitely admire it — tech brand named after a fruit.

Why do people wait in line overnight these days to get a new Apple device?  After all, it wasn't so long ago that many of us still remained clueless and disinterested in the latest tech gadgets.  Nowadays, Apple has become one of the most popular household names — if not the recent catalyst for a juicy tech debate.  Are you a PC or a Mac? — as if the kind of computer you own can somehow reflect who you are.

How did someone like Steve Jobs manage to redesign the landscape of our  needs and interests?  And how did being geeky start to become a term that can now be interpreted as the new cool?  These are just some of the questions we like to ask here at the NewsGallery.  Let us know your thoughts and connect the dots in STYLE.
