FROM ARCHITECT TO JEWELRY: ZAHA HADID FOR SWAROVSKI

Female Starchitect Zaha Hadid, known for her fluid shifting angles creates a 2010 Spring Line for the luxury jewelry brand Swarovski.  The pieces appear to be inspired as a literal translation of her art sculpture--previously seen from her art installation, Aura back in 2008 for the Venice Biennale (see image below).

This isn't a first alliance between the architect and the luxury brand:  In 2008, Hadid in partnership with Patrick Schumacker, did a collection called the Gem Couture for Swarovsky.  (See sample below).

The aesthetics for this collection doesn't stray too far away from the designer's signature liquefied swerves either.  Again as depicted in Aura--the two figures almost seem interchangeable, except in size and functionality. In this ensemble, the Zaha Hadid silverware that the model is featuring most certainly outshines the evening gown, dont' you agree?
