Well it's official the iPhone 4G that Gizmodo did an exclusive on yesterday is in fact the new prototype that is most likely to launch this June as the new generation of iPhones. Apparently an Apple employee lost the device at a beer garden in Redwood City, and the person who found this tech-treasure then sold it to Gizmodo for $5,000. Apple has contacted Gizmodo and has asked for the return of the unfinished now-non-top-secret-device, deeming it stolen.
Gizmodo, who has done more than an elaborate exclusive on the latest iPhone development--having physically dissected the gadget, claims it was not stolen but found; and that they are returning it to Apple upon their request.
The next generation iPhone 4G has the following new features:
- iChat camera to Video chat on an iPhone
- OLED Screen
- 16% Larger Battery
- Video camera capabilities
- Built in GPS
- What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
- 32G (basic) and 64G of memory
- Camera flash
- Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
- Split buttons for volume
- Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic
- Multi-Tasking
