Also happening at the MoMA today: MoMA Nights! The museum, (and maybe the garden) will be open till 8:45 this evening, and every first Thursday of every month through the spring and summer seasons. There will be full access available for the galleries, theaters, and talks. I'm particularly excited to see the Picasso exhibition: Themes and Variation. The exhibition is focused on the artist's lithographs like the one below.
Pablo Picasso. The Bull, state VII (Le Taureau). December 26, 1945. Lithograph.
There will be a DJ, a cash bar, plus a prix-fixe menu at their Cafe 2. FYI: Dinner at Cafe 2 is very communal style, but the food is quite scrumptious. I highly recommend the Pan Seared Salmon Entree with Lentil and Rood Vegetable Stew. You can check out the whole menu HERE, if you plan on dining there.
As for the rest of the activities--current exhibitions, gallery talks, cash bar details and DJ info, have a look at the line up below and some photos from last year's MoMA Thursdays.
See you there!

Prix Fixe Dinner

In addition to the regular menu, a special prix fixe dinner created by Chef Lynn Bound is available for $30 (not including beverage or NYS sales tax and service charge). Dinner begins with an appetizer, followed by an entrée and dessert. Participation in the tasting requires the participation of the entire group; however, guests may order extra items from the regular menu if they wish. It is suggested that guests allow up to one hour to complete the full prix fixe meal.
Cash Bar
5:30–8:00 p.m., Marron Atrium (floor 2)
Visit the cash bar for a variety of beverages, including specialty cocktails.
Music
DJ Pepe
Having started his career in radio, DJ Pepe is no stranger to the art of spinning records. Musically, he alternates between 1970s African sounds, Mexican electro-cumbia, dusty Turkish funk, Brazilian clasico, Brooklyn-brewed beats, and club-friendly brass music.
